MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA ARTISANAL SS15
my biggest dream in life is to see Maison Martin Margiela's show, and to own at least one pair of boots from him. If both cannot be achieved just yet, let me at least praise and fantasise about the two. I am a huge fan of Margiela and his work and am constantly amazed at the intricate details and efforts that go into each piece released. Not to mention that Margiela perfectly re-creates the classic boot; you'll never find anything like Margiela's boots on the market. they are one of the kind, they are classic and simple, i love it. You know a piece of work is a success if even the most simplest design and colour draws attention and makes people go "whoah", but this time around I'm not going to be swooning over Margiela's simple designs but rather his wild, gothic-inspired, whacky Artisanal collection for SS15.

HOLY BAJESUS! Can Margiela stop being amazing for just one second? doesn't look like it. I'm having serious difficulties breathing due to the beauty of the pieces from the Artisanal SS15 line. Crazy head pieces, vampy and gothic colours were the main performers; velvet came back from the 70's to play a part and never seen before combinations of denim and tiger print graced the catwalk as semi-psychotic looking models with gelled hair strutted out in those humongous shoes. For some reason, a majority of the outfits remind me of Comme Des Garçons Rei Kawabuko's designs; however they stand out with their own European touch classical of Margiela's work. Girl suits, floor length coats and crazy, unidentifiable objects thrown onto dresses are just some of the highlights from the Artisanal ss15, but we cannot forget the biggest highlight of them all; that head piece. The last and final look for the collection tied in and concluded the show with a bang and a "what the...?" as an un-identifiable, alien-looking figure came out onto the runway wearing bright red all over and gold on the top. Gold, Gold, Gold.. and Sparkle. Oh, and crown. Margiela, I am impressed and delighted at your work. I cannot wait to see more.

The final look: a devilish face can just be seen made by embroideries within the headpiece, adds to the demonic aura of the show and wraps up the collection with a bang and a hint of mystery.
thanks for reading& stay tuned for more...
