If theres one thing I love more than coffee and clothes, it's winter. I love pretty much everything about winter; the ability to layer, sit in a coffee shop sipping on your favourite coffee for more than 10 minutes without feeling like you're going to die from heat exhaustion, not having your makeup glide down your face after 20 minutes of being outside and of course; the amazing collections designers come out with that just scream love. And whilst i'm currently sitting in a bedroom that's 10 degrees hotter than the 28 degree weather outside, with the fan blazing on full blast and stinking like sweat (and a faint smell of perfume) I'm pretending it's winter by looking through Paris' and New Yorks' Fall/Winter 2015 fashion shows and I dare say we are up for one winter filled with oversized coats, bold colours, fur and of course; massive boots.
Here I have provided my top 4 favourite looks from various designers; I made sure that each piece also showed a bit of the full collection and it's colours, prints, styles and combinations.
Let's get into it.

Chanel Fall/Winter 2015
We again saw the emergence of bright colours combined with crazy prints on the Chanel Catwalk and I'm actually really enjoying it. It's fun, colourful and still manages to be effortlessly chic and elegant. That pretty much sums up the collection in itself.
In this collection there was an emphasis on oversized coats and structured pants as well as the loose turtleneck which i'm totally loving. Oh, and of course the Chanel runners.. how could I forget.
Akris Fall/Winter 2015
Monochrome colours with a balanced pop of bright reds were the thing at Akris ; again focusing on the oversized jacket and the ever so cool warmth at the top, borderline freezing my ass off at the bottom. Minus degrees do not fear the French; bare legs and fur coats is the little black dress of winter. The uniqueness of the collection is shown when a structured trench coat is layered on top of a bulky fur jacket and damn it looks good.

Chloe Fall/Winter 2015
Are we seeing a bit of a repeat yet? Oversized coats are at it again and were in fact the star of the show at Chloe as models strunted down the runway wearing midi cut dresses and skirts with shin length flowy coats and leopard print. May I just say that I was never really a fan of the flowy cut on jackets until I saw these jackets and I am now hitting myself at my stupidity. Chloe combines classic soft pinks and nudes together in some looks and goes above and beyond expectations with leopard fur on white fur dress and feathery style jackets on bold colours. Classic and simple on one hand, risky and bold on the other. yaaaaas.

Gareth Pugh Fall/Winter 2015
Oh my lawdddddd you guys have no idea how much this collection speaks to me, seriously. Gareth Pugh comes out with striking looks every time but this one just hit the nail on the head with the headpieces, fierce cuts and of course the semi-mental-ward-looking head wraps. This collection reminds me of ice queens, Russia, snowflakes and winter, as well as American Horror Storys' Asylum promo vids and I cannot get enough. Bulky coats over tulled skirts, boots higher than the sky and the models themselves combine together to create a slightly sinister, yet elegant collection that can be the second definition of winter.

Giambattista Valli Fall/Winter 2015
Giambattista Valli stepped his models out in soft pinks, bright reds and of course the classic monochrome, and boy did it look good. Not only did the collection offer some diversity in terms of styles, colours and patterns but it kept things interesting by combining different looks and playing around with funky cuts. Keeping things simple on the bottom with a stylish black heel, all the eyes were drawn to Giambattista's success in paying attention to detail and effortlessly keeping things complex and modern.
Gosia Baczynska Fall/Winter 2015
Soft hues of colours were featured in Baczynska's collections for fall/winter of 2015, mainly focusing on the heavy attire on the top and keeping it very bare at the bottom; but i'm not complaining. The hair was kept elegant and youthful whilst the designs kept it mature yet soft at the same time. The collection also featured a few maxi dresses, perfect for those winter special occasions, in a heated room of course.

Jacquemus Fall/Winter 2015
One of my favourite things about this collection is the weirdness of it and how perfectly that weirdness just seems to work. A heap of random patches of rounded shapes sewn onto rain-coat style pieces kept the things fun whilst the pastel pops of colour on sweaters balanced out the weirdness with their simplicity; all in all killing the runway with it's amazingness. Hair was kept simple and shoes were kept white, leaving the clothes to run the show.

Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2015
I didn't know that I would be such a fan of this collection until I saw that face-sweater (pictured far right) and those thigh high football-style boots. Jeremy Scott brought a new meaning to slightly twisted and i'm definitely in love. Each look was paired with a bold statement piece which brought complexity and an interesting touch to every look that came strutting down that runway; my definite favourite has got to be that face-sweater and the ever so gorgeous white fur jacket thrown over not much else; oh and of course those boots which I demand be in my closet right about.. now

Lacoste Fall/Winter 2015
Lacoste is most known for it's polos and sports (golf) attire in Brisvegas, but the Fall/Winter Collection of 2015 completely erased my expectations of Lacoste. Let's just say, they brought it home and they brought it good. Black on black and faded hue green on green allowed for the modern touch, adding more effect to the already fascinating look combinations of parkas and turtle necks over pencil cut skirts. Shoes were again, kept simple to keep it quite minimalistic and allow for the clothes to do al the talking.

Manish Arora Fall/Winter 2015
May I just say that out of all the collections featured here, Manish Arora definitely takes the spot of being the most unique, weird, slightly twisted and interesting. Yes, all of those things. Bright neon colours combined with crazy patterns, harajuku inspired shoes and hairstyles and of course bringing structure to otherwise heavy coats with a tight waist hand made me think back to my Japanese-obsession days of Harajuku girls and Geishas. Kudos to Arora's ability to keep in unique in a world where the need to fit in is so demanding; and especially in a fashion world where 'rules are rules' when it comes to combining pieces, Arora kind of gives the middle finger to all of that; "I do what I want fashion and you'll either like it or suck it". Well, i definitely like it. A lot.

Nina Ricci Fall/Winter 2015
Can we please just take a moment out of this day to appreciate the amazingness of the pink fur coat, pictured far left???? Yeah, I almost fainted when I saw that. Florals and soft colours were definitely the main attraction on the runway for the Nina Ricci Fall/Winter 2015 collection, with subtle black looks appearing here and there to keep the things spicy. Legs were kept bare and knee length coats made an appearance more than a few times and the turtle neck was one of the star pieces on nearly every look.

Phillip Lim Fall/Winter 2015
I had my first encounter with Phillip Lim when I fell in love with a t-shirt dress an Australian-based model was wearing in one of her instagram photos and I instantly had to know more. Well, Phillip Lim did not disappoint me yet again as he came out with possibly one of the coolest collections he's had to date. I love the patches of bold colours on the knee length trench coat and the combination of complex prints with simplistic pieces to bright out and accentuate the prints themselves. The t shirt dress makes yet another appearance, this time more in an oversized zipped up jacket style and yet is still so chic and flattering on pretty much any body type; which is always a plus. Love.

Rebecca Minkoff Fall/Winter 2015
Rebecca Minkoff created this collection with the sole intention of keeping things simple with soft colour combining and classic looks and made it look so damn interesting and eye-catching at the same time. The structured coat, created in a blazer-style, then in a trench coat style, and in a parka style created diversity in terms of personal preferences in coats and the full bodied playsuit thrown over a long-sleeved shirt was an idea like no other and and idea that i really like and possibly keep in mind to wear myself for this winter.

Ruffian Fall/Winter 2015
The Ruffian Fall/Winter collection for 2015 reminds me a little bit of Mexico and the 1800's at the same time with it's vest jackets and the flared sleeves with ruffled turtleneck designs. I love the combination of the vest jacket on bright red to bring out the style and cut of the jacket itself, and the colourful stockings add a bit of an olden touch which I quite like. Hair was slicked back and the models sported simple heels to accentuate the colours of the tights and the beauty of the velvet-look attire and all of it looked amazing.

Valentino Fall/Winter 2015
I am definitely obsessed with Valentino and it's ability to make any piece look extravagant through bright pattern combinations and light fabrics. Shin length coats with mosaic and circle prints stood out the most out of the entire collection and the black on red toned things down and kept the collection from being too over the top. Floor length dresses made an appearance on the runway; classical of any Valentino collection but so mystical and jaw dropping every time.
Viktor & Rofl Fall/Winter 2015
Toned down greys, bright whites and hints of blacks were the thing on the Viktor & Rofl runway for Fall/Winter 2015 and definitely kept things interesting with the asymmetrical cuts, flowy garments and bare legs. the main attention was on the pieces whilst the look was kept accessory free and simplistic in every other possible way; focusing mainly on the cuts of the garments rather than the colour of them. I am really loving the grey look lately and feel like it'll be really in this winter and Viktor & Rolf confirmed this theory and love for me with this collection.
thanks for reading& stay tuned for more..
